Lemon Syrup

I was reading the Cheeky Cupcake the other day and she was whipping up a batch of lemonade concentrate. Yum! So about 50 Arnold Palmers later I can safely say that it is delicous!!

Put equal parts lemon juice and sugar into a saucepan. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Add a pinch of nutmeg, a pinch of kosher salt, and a vanilla bean. Simmer for one minute and take off the heat. (She added almond extract also) ick. (personal taste).
Add one part syrup to two parts water, sparkling soda, or iced tea (my personal fave!).
Now if we could get some sunshine in Denver this would be great!
