Holidays

My younger son is an equal opportunity celebrator! His third grade religious school teacher's name was Alysa Stanton, (she later went on to become the first African American Rabbi) to him she was just "Miss Alysa".

On the way home from religious school one snowy December day he said,
"Mom we've been learning about Kwanzaa in school, do you think Miss Alysa celebrates Kwanzaa?"
I said I'm not sure, you need to ask her about it. That is a great question!"
To which he replied:
"If she does, I think we should. Do you get presents for that?"
Equal opportunity gift hoarder. That's my boy!
