My Newest Project

When we bought our house the builder thought , "who needs window casing?" (Hi Missy! Good thing we have great neighbors when you can see in each others windows!)
So, 10 years later I decided that our master bedroom sitting room needed it. I have no idea why our bedroom has a sitting area. I've only sat in there twice, but now I will.
(Yeah right)
Now my husband is a very talented person, however his talents do not include power tools, so I enlisted the help of our friend "Keys". (He had the "keys" to the gym when they were kids, and the name stuck.)
I got to use the power nail gun!! Yes, Mom I was careful!
Ohhh much better! Here is the bad news: Now I've decided that ALL of my windows need casing. That is a BIG project, but I am quite confident that a large Chick-Fil-A iced tea and a couple hundred trips to the Home Depot and I can do it!!

  1. I hadn't even thought of that. All our windows come with nice frames and extended sills for flowers, etc. It looks great! Good job D!

  2. They build "bigger is better" here with no attention to detail. I say smaller with great detail is the way to go!

  3. woohoo!! i hope your casing project goes well :)

If you don't use that area to sit, maybe its a good place for a desk?

  4. Heather, I have thought of that. I love the office in the movie "Something's Gotta Give". Since my bay window is similiar, I think it would be nice. BUT her view is of the ocen and mine would be my neighbor Missy. I do like Missy a lot, but that's a lot of Missy!!
